Ferrovanadium (FeV)
Ferrovanadium is a very important alloy product that contains vanadium. This product is added to steel when it is melted in smelting furnaces, which gives the steel a hardening and strength property.
The use of this ferroalloy is common to 40, 60, or 80v. There are various methods for the production of vanadium, including: electro silica thermal process, aluminum thermal process that directly involves the production of ferrovanadium.
In the first method; we can produce medium grade ferrovanadium alloys and ferrosilicon-vanadium, but in the second method, we can produce high quality ferro vanadium alloys.
Ferrovanadium is melted at a temperature of 1480 and its solid density is 7.0 cubic meters per cubic meter. The volume density of this alloy is 3.9-3.3 tons per cubic meter and the block size is <200.
